E3 2014: Ubisoft 'Not Going to Stop' Prince of Persia, Beyond Good & Evil

Ubisoft's reveal of Rainbow Six Siege was a highlight of E3 2014, but the absence of Prince of Persia and Beyond Good & Evil, two franchises long rumored to make their return, did not go unnoticed. Prince of Persia was most recently "paused," while BG&E2 was deemed a "good candidate" for development.
Ubisoft's CEO, Yves Guillemot, Yves Guillemot told IGN, "We are not going to stop those properties. We are going to work on them. The teams are really looking at what we can come with. I think you will really like what you see in the future. It could take some time to make sure we are really delivering what we want."
Guillemot wouldn't specify how far off that future would be.

I also asked Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat about the future of Prince of Persia. He smiled in silence for a few seconds and said, "We have nothing to discuss at this time." Mallat also noted that he recently had lunch with Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner.
"We're friends," Mallat said, just before leaving the room.
